so he at least had good intentions - but as the old saw goes, they paved the road to hell. seriously, why do fathers always seem to think that having money alone makes a good son in law? whats the use of a big house and ample food when you have to share it with a brutal ass?!

Maybe I'm not looking at this from the right perspective, but "We got here too late"???
If they would have stayed out of the fight Hans Gort would have been immobilized by the tank, probably killed by the Germans, and the body count of the women would have been zero.
Their interference directly contributed to the deaths of those women. Or no?

Ravenwold says "Their interference directly contributed to the deaths of those women."

The creators reply "Hmm...

Long-time readers remember what we said earlier. Generally, we avoid commenting on our own stories. As you know, many web comics have more explanations and arguments underneath their pages than dialogue in their speech bubbles. We believe that writers who like to editorialize get in the way of the experience of the story. We prefer a more literary model, where the story speaks for itself without footnotes. Having said that, Ravenwold's comment touches on issues that go to the heart of the story as well as the heart of the world in which the characters live. We might even say that those issues define the title character, so maybe this time we can compromise a little. People who have bought the print edition already know which characters survive, and how they react. For our part, we creators are interested in the opinion of the readers. What do the rest of our readers think?
