I'm reminded of a line from Dragon Half, where one of the characters told one of the other characters that his brain if "VERY very compact" after taking what amounted to a light sabre to the head.

compact brain or not, nothing living should´ve survived that hit, so....zombie apes? or maybe some kind of golem/puppet? they certainly don´t look like part of the natural fauna ;-)

Him saying that he had a compact brain was really just him saying that he's stupid. It was more the imagery that reminded me of that scene.
