That means four hundred and ninety-three pages, all in color, that you can read in a single session. strangely i believe him - aside from not wanting to see his grankids hurt, there´s nothing to gain from attacking children, and so far he´s used the apes to steal stuff......also, oni and kenya are that closely related yet engaged? eww....

Hardly unheard of. Look at Egyptian and Roman royal marriages. They tended to be between cousins if not outright siblings to preserve the ties to the royal family.

If the bone king has multiple spouses [which wouldn't be surprising], and the spouses of his children were from completely separate families [plausible if the Ashoka are a growing empire intermarrying with other royalty/nobility], there wouldn't be that much consanguinity involved. Still "ew" by our standards but not too much risk of 'blue blood' diseases.
